Two Mannich bases were synthesized via a general synthesis strategy: Mannich base: N, N-[(5-acatamido-2-hydroxy) benzyl] acetamide (I) and N-[(5-acatamido-2-hydroxy) benzyl]-N-methylaniline (II). The structures of the target molecules were elucidated by a combination of spectral tools (IR, UV, ¹HNMR, and MS). The synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity.
