Aliskiren is direct renin inhibitor and used in treatment of hypertension. Losartan potassium is angiotensin receptor blocker and used in treatment of hypertension. Under clinical trial it’s proved that the combination of Aliskiren with angiotensin receptor blocker Losartan Potassium provides greater reduction in aldosterone which leads to reduction in LVH (left ventricular hypotrophy) than losartan alone.
