A review on the formulation and evaluation of herbal anti-acne cream

Abstract
Acne is a common skin disorder which is common in adolescents and adults. It is a common cutaneous inflammatory disorder of the pilosebaceous unit. It manifests primarily on the face, although it can also affect the upper arms, trunk, and back. Due to hormonal changes 99.5% of teenage boys and 83% of teenage girls are affected by acne which may continue throughout adolescence. Acne causing bacteria are Propionibacterium acne and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Herbal formulations are receiving more concentration in public because of their high-quality properties and less side effects. Additionally it also provides the skin with necessary nutrients and required moisture. The herbal cream is basically water in oil type of emulsion with fewer side effects. In this paper recently published papers about the formulation of herbal anti-acne cream are reviewed.
