Abstract
In combination in summary: Pharmaceutical analysis, which uses both
conventional and cutting-edge analytical techniques to guarantee the safety,
effectiveness, and quality of pharmaceutical products, is a fundamental
component of contemporary drug research. The industry has witnessed a dramatic
shift from traditional techniques like titrimetric and gravimetric analysis to
more sophisticated approaches like nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass
spectrometry (MS), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas
chromatography (GC), and spectroscopic techniques like UV-Vis, IR, and NIR due
to the increasing complexity of drug formulations and strict regulatory
standards. These analytical methods are essential for stability investigations,
excipient characterization, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API)
quantification, and impurity profiling. While hyphenated systems like LC-MS
offer deeper insights into intricate processes, techniques like capillary
electrophoresis, electrochemical approaches, and flow injection analysis offer
increased precision and efficiency.
